  Birsch PRC Deck Sealer is a two component water-based polyurethane. This unique material provides performance properties compared to conventional solvent-based catalyzed urethanes or epoxies without the associated health and environmental problems. Birsch PRC Deck Sealer offers substantial performance improvements over previously available single packaged water-based urethanes and has less odor than latex paint. Birsch PRC Deck Sealer gives fast curing, tough protective coatings that feature high gloss, good chemical resistance, easy cleanability and superior abrasion resistance. Gloss retention under heavy-foot traffic is comparable to traditional aromatic moisture cured urethane. An additional benefit of this material is outstanding adhesion that allows its use over a variety of substrates, including damp concrete, without the use of a primer. Intercoat adhesion problems that can occur with traditional catalyzed urethanes are eliminated with the use of this product. Resistance to U.V. light is excellent. For exterior desert applications, a special U.V. absorbed package can be incorporated to insure long-term chalk resistance and gloss retention. Birsch PRC Deck Sealer has been developed as a high performance finish coat for use in various seamless floor and wall coating systems where solvent odor cannot be tolerated. It is the ideal topcoat for areas that require maximum gloss retention, abrasion resistance and ease of cleaning. Typical areas of application would include Naval ships with PRC flooring, ceramic tile areas, food preparation areas, clean rooms, hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and high traffic floors Birsch PRC Deck Sealer also establishes a new standard of performance for water-based hardwood floor finishes. |
